UMEZ is participating in the Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Fund (ACDBE) Program. Under this program UMEZ will make loans to businesses certified as an ACDBE by the Port of Authority of NY/NJ and registered to do business in New York State.
Loan Terms
Size: Loans may range from $150,000 to $1,000,000
Purpose: Projects at John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia airports in New York City
Eligible Uses: Working capital, acquisition of machinery and equipment, and leasehold improvements
Term: Up to 7 years
Interest Rate: 5%

Project Profile
UMEZ partnered with Greater Jamaica Development Corporation to provide a $1 million loan to a Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery franchise for the fit-out concession space in John F. Kennedy Airport Terminal 8. The franchise was selected as part of the Empire State Development's Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Program.
